Marcelo Gutiérrez is a world famous downhill born in Manizales, he is Colombian and he has 22 years old. During his childhood, he mixed BMX and cross-country MTB, until at around 10 years old he tried Downhill. By the age of 14, he'd stopped racing BMX and focused on DH, where he'd started getting good results.
He started racing internationally at 2007 in the UCI word championship and he achieved the 12th place. He continued racing until know. He has wined lots of things like races at Manizales and around the world. He actually is the words 5 best downhiller.
But where Marcelo has also begun to excel is in urban downhill races where riders take towns and cities as tracks. He won his local event in Manizales two years running, and in 2012 came fourth in the famous Valparaíso Cerro Abajo in Chile. For me he is the best downhill rider in the world and he’s name is Marcelo Gutierrez Villegas.
